Cookie Policy

Effective date: to be set upon publication. This document is a preliminary draft and will be reviewed and finalized by legal counsel before production deployment.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Cookie Policy explains how Language Group Provider LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("LGP", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on languagegroupprovider.com (the "Site"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy. This Policy describes the Site only; it does not describe technologies used in client systems or in services delivered under a client agreement.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow a site to store information in your browser. Cookies may be "session" cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted.

3. What the Site Actually Uses Today

The Site currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage. We do not currently operate analytics, advertising, retargeting, social-media pixels, or other cross-site tracking technologies on the Site.

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication and session storage. When an authorized administrative user signs in to the restricted portal, the Site stores an authentication token in browser storage so the session persists between pages. Duration: until sign-out, token expiry (typically one hour, with refresh during an active session), or clearing of browser storage. Set by our hosting and authentication provider on our behalf.
  • Security and delivery. Our hosting provider may set short-lived cookies or equivalent identifiers necessary for load balancing, request routing, and abuse prevention. Duration: session or short-lived.

Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent under applicable law because the Site cannot function properly without them. They are not used to profile you or to track you across other websites.

4. Categories We May Use in the Future

If we later introduce additional technologies, they would fall into these categories, and this Policy will be updated before activation:

  • Functional. Remember preferences such as region or form state to improve usability. Typically persistent for up to twelve (12) months.
  • Analytics. Help us understand aggregate Site usage and performance. Typically persistent for up to thirteen (13) months.
  • Marketing. Measure campaign effectiveness. LGP does not currently use marketing cookies. If introduced, they would be activated only after obtaining consent where required.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We do not currently permit third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the Site. Certain pages link to third-party services — for example, our interpreter application form hosted by an external provider. When you follow such a link, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party service you use.

6. Consent Management

Because the Site currently uses only strictly necessary technologies, no consent banner is displayed. If we introduce functional, analytics, or marketing technologies, we will implement a consent mechanism that allows you to accept or reject non-essential categories and to withdraw consent at any time, in each case where required by applicable law.

7. Browser Controls

Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings, and many offer a "do not track" or global privacy control signal. Because the Site does not sell or share personal information or perform cross-site tracking, such signals do not change our current practices. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent sign-in and other Site functions from working.

8. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices, the Site, or applicable law. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date, and where required we will obtain consent before activating new non-essential technologies.
